Karavaanserail

{{ copy.detail.summerbarin }} Torhout (Groenhovestraat 32)

Sfeerbeeld Karavaanserail

Karavaanserail is a coffee and tea pop-up at the edge of the Groenhove hiking and cycling forest. On Sundays, during good weather, coffee, tea, cakes and other specialties are served on the courtyard and in one of Torhout's most beautiful gardens.

Karavian railways were accommodated along the Silk Road where travelers rested from the long day trips. In the shady courtyard they drank tea and coffee when AliExpress still delivered camels and George Clooney drank Turkish coffee.

This summer, all travelers are welcome, whether they come from far or less far and whether they come by camel, electric bicycle or on foot. Sample coffee from a vintage 1968 espresso machine or discover our precious oriental teas, coffees, lemonades and other unique specialties.

We are open every Sunday of May until September and on public holidays:
May 1, ascension, Whit Monday, July 21, ascension of Mary.
We will be closed on Sunday 1 & 8 July.
